Calligraphy

For those who want to practice their calligraphy, the Japanese words for bush clover (hagi) and dianthus or pink (nadeshiko) are below. Hagi is the first using the kanji ideography.

Next is nadeshiko written with the phonetic katakana syllabary.

Sketches

The sketches below are for relatively simple practice. The first sketches are of bush clover.

The next sketches are of dianthus superbus (nadeshiko) plants.
