The words below are kokeshi ningyō (kokeshi doll) for those who want to practice their calligraphy. The first three characters (kokeshi) are from the phonetic hiragana syllabary. The last two for doll (ningyō) are kanji logograms.

The base color of the kimono is purple, though it didn't come out of the scanner looking that way. The uneveness of the color is from wrinkling of the paper.
