The kanji below is the ideogram for haru (spring) for those who want to practice their calligraphy.
There are two sketches for practice this week. This first one is yaezakura (double-petaled cherry blossoms).
The next sketch is a close-up of cherry tree leaves. The dark objects in the lower right are real leaves; not sketches.
For tenkei, I added traditional Japanese houses with gassho-zukuri, thatched roofs. There are two blue birds singing on one of the upper branches of the cherry tree.
