Calligraphy, Sketches & Demonstration Painting

Calligraphy

The Japanease word below is tsuyukusa (Dew Flower) for those who want to practice their calligrahy. The first two characters are from the phonetic hiragana syllabary, and the last character is kanji.

Sketches

These relatively simple sketches of tsuyukusa are for practice.

Demonstration Painting

This painting uses a combination of mokkotsu-hō stokes for flower petals, spathes, and leaves, combined with fine lines for the stamens and leaf veins.
