Marguerite (Argyranthemum frutescens)

If Marguerite blossoms look similar to daisies, it is because they are closely related.

Other common names for it are marguerite daisy and Paris daisy.

The plant is native to the Canary Islands, but cultivars have spread around with world. It is a perennial bush that has become naturalized in Italy and Southern California.

Among its cultivars are ones with different colored blossoms. Some are pink.

Some are purple.

Some are red.

Yellows are nice, too.

Whatever color the blossoms, they are colorful additions to any garden.
