There are two words this week for those who want to practice their calligraphy. The first word, hachidori (hummingbird), uses the phonetic katakana syllabary.
The next word, using kanji, is ōbai (winter jasmine).
Here are relatively simple sketches of winter jasmine blossoms and leaves and of hummingbirds.
It is most important to plan where the hummingbird should be before deciding on the rest of the composition.
