Shadows and Reflections

for the assignment, we were asked to take pictures of interesting shadows and reflections. Since I had to leave school early that day I did get to go uptown to take photos of reflections in the store windows like the others did. I also didn't have a camera yet so Mr. Anderson let me borrow one of his take homes. That weekend I went to my grandparent's house where we went on ATVs and hung out in our Grandmas garden. For reflections, I used the sunglasses and a shiny blue ball in the garden to capture some reflections. I didn't have as many shadow images because I could find any as interesting as I wanted. For the for shadow ones I have my brother doing the YMCA positions in our driveway. For the image above is of my baby brother sitting in my grandmas garden with a shiny reflective ball behind him and a pair of sunglasses in his hands. He looks grumpy because I tried to get him to smile but he was only doing he's forced a cringy smile that looked like it uncomfortable for him and his viewers. Soi told him to stop (Nicely of course) and give me a plain face and to a four-year-old apparently, that is a grumpy face. However, I think the picture turned out good and his face added to the mood of the photo. I also really love this photo because of the contrast levels through the image and how crisp the image is. Sadly, the camera took some of my photos really dark, like the cool one of my brother Nate getting a haircut in the big natural framed mirror.
