This is made with pens, buttons, and watercolor paint. The painting is of an elderly woman disintegrating into buttons. I choose red and other skin tone buttons to match the woman to make it seem like she is made of buttons more or less. I glued the buttons on because I was thinking of ways to make a connection to my materials and all grandmothers collect buttons. To build off my concentration I made sure to add lots of undertones in her skin as well as give detailed skin. I like all the detail in this piece and how the woman looks, but I'm not sure how I feel about the way the buttons look.
