Abstract Shoe and Pure Contour

So for this assignment we were told to draw there views of over shoe in contour lines only. i wore different shoes for the two days we worked on this in class so thats why i have different shoes. once we had done this we were to take a view catcher. we placed the small, probably 1" by 2" inch, view catcher on one of the shoes. we were then to draw this again larger on a different piece of paper, split into three sections. once we did this we had to do it again but on the image that we just drew. we did this once more after those two. when we had finished that drawing we were to pick one of the three cropped images to enlarge and turn into something else. i chooses the middle one of the three to do. i used only a pencil for the first sketch. for the second three drawings and the last drawing i mainly just used sharpie to add more rhythm in the pieces. on my final however i added oil pastels to really capture the smooth fading a monarch butterfly's wing would have. and a touch of white paint to add those recognizable dots.

I used sharp lines to really add to the contour part of the project, the sharpie really helped with the and making the lines very much bold. Something i changed

was making the lines thicker and more curvy instead of harsh and sharp. i did this because i likes how it got wicked smooth and fluent. the meaning behind this artwork is basically, a shoe can tell you everything about that person. i guess theses shoes show and tell my story by showing i can be active. but by the sneaker condition you can tell i'm not active all the time. i don't know how i would want to revise this, I'm satirized with the outcome of which i received.
