Beautiful Oops

I've done a few beautiful oops before this one so I was not new to the project. It also happens to be one of my favorite projects to do. The image is a creature of some sort who is wearing body armor. He is then looking down at a carcass of his own species. there is also another creature of his species hiding in the tall grass. I added a big sun so you get the idea that it's a long, hot, tiring day.

I started off with a few black ink splats (the creature's armor) and began sketching the rest out with a pencil. Afterwards, I started laying down the first coats of ink, then adding more detail as I go. For the background, I put a layer of water on the paper and when around to page putting ink drops down. After the ink spread out and left cool marks I waited for it to dry. Next, I took out my blue pen and started following the lines where I could see a change in color. After, I added some dots to give the picture more depth.

When I was making this I was trying to portray a sad creature that some superior was using to fight its wars with and the creature came upon the carcass and was like "oh gosh this stinks". Then there's that other guy who is hiding in the back because he doesn't want to fight.
