Made with hot glue, sculpey, wire, foam board, rocks, paint, and grass. It is of an older man walking/swimming in a puddle with his walker in the middle of nowhere. The idea is more or less that he's struggling to stay above the water(live), ass the puddle deepens. It is also supposed to look like the area around him is deserted, showing there is no one around him as he is going through this. I'm not a fan of working with sculpey because I struggle to make it smooth, and when I go into smaller details my hands seem to grow bigger and more clumsy. I also like when I mix colors into the swirl patterns but when I combined or smooth apart it blends getting rid of the pattern in some places. You can see this in how the face has strips of darker browns but the body is smoother because I had to attach the arms and smooth the torso. I would have also liked to have put more energy into the walker as it is a little messy. I do like how the water came out even though there are some spots where the water isn't as smooth as wanted. I was going to add white and lighter blue highlights to the water but I figured I wouldn't be able to make it look right. In the end, the glaze adds the shine/highlights that I wanted. Painting this was a tedious process because I had to try very hard not to paint the man. In places between the torso and walker, it was hard to get all the nooks and crannies. The straight grey and natural rocks and grass add very satisfying contrast for me, as it goes from a modern to a natural style.
