For this piece, I used alcohol markers and pens. The image is of a crowd of monsters boogying down at a party with the banner above reading "keep the party going with organ and tissue donation". I wanted to avoid adding organs as well as a dark scene and what's happier than a party. I enjoyed making this piece as choosing the colors was satisfying. Originally the way I was going to do the monster's texture was going to be more blended but I soon found out I didn't have all the right colors to make a smooth transition. After, however, the clear marks looked better. Towards the end when I was doing the background my purple began to dry out and I wasn't sure what to do. I decided to add pinkish purple on top to cover the unshaded parts. In the end, it added a sense of depth to the piece as if more figures and objects were behind my foreground. The part that I would consider fixing is the text to make it more clear.
