This is made with pen and markers. it is of two elderly women with the bottom part of their torso revealing their layer of muscle under their skin. the words in the back read "Got Muscle?". I wasn't really sure where I was going with this project because I hadn't planned on doing it like this. I was trying to show that under all there saggy skin they still have muscle that looks like everyone else's muscle. when people think of the elderly they don't think about their strength or underlying muscle, because they are seen as frail or weak. Even though they aren't benching hundreds of pounds they still use their muscles and have them. I find it fascinating that if you were to take away their skin, which shows age, their muscle isn't dropping, they look like mine or yours (in a relative way, they might look less tight or plump, but in the same structure/positioning). If I were to change this piece I would just do it over, so I could make it better quality and use different materials. I do however like the idea of the piece even though the message could use some work. I'm not a fan of the markers and techniques I used, I thought they looked sloppy and not as clean as liked.
