Term 3 Unit 3: The Figure, Playing with Perspective

Our Goal This term is to:

Develop an understanding of how artists use their world as a source of inspiration for artworks. Develop an understanding of how artists convey the figure in artmaking, exploring it from varying angles of view in their own artmaking. Students will have the opportunity to develop skills in appreciating and creating figurative art in both 2D, 3D and 4D forms.

We will achieve this by:

• Investigating how street artists represent their world and are agents for change.  

• Recognising what can be revealed about the artist and their world through their artworks.

• Investigating the role of the audience and the different ways street art is created and received.

• Creating virtual street artworks focusing on the world around them.

• Making informed choices whilst developing and extending the concept and meaning in the artwork.
