Term 1- Food Availability & Selection
Students learn about the large range of foods Australia has available to it through the historical and cultural influences. Students are made aware of the value of multicultural understanding, social justice and tolerance. They learn also learn about the ways the selection of food in Australia is influenced by physiological, psychological social and economic factors. The value of Honesty is taught when discussing whether advertising claims are justified.
