This semester, students will develop their competencies in communicating and making meaning in French. They will explore the themes of music, sports, and free time activities, learning about favourite artists and songs, different types of sports and leisure activities, as well as ways to talk about hobbies, interests, and how they spend their free time. Students will also express their opinions and preferences, providing reasons for their choices.
Throughout the course, they will examine key aspects of French-speaking cultures and deepen their understanding of grammatical structures by comparing the French and English language systems.
Students will achieve this by:
using online resources to complete games and activities
reading and writing French texts that make use of key structures learnt in class
creating role plays and writing texts in Italian that implement the key structures learnt in class
listening and responding to spoken French
employing a range of strategies to recall key vocabulary
