Topic 3 - The Individual and the Law

Students will develop an understanding of the relationship between individuals, society and the legal system, with a particular focus on the impact of technology on legal rights and responsibilities. Through the investigation of legal and non-legal institutions, legislation and media reports, students will build their knowledge of the legal system while developing the research, analytical and communication skills needed to examine how the law affects individuals in contemporary society.
