GOAL FOR THE UNIT:
The goal of this unit is to explore religious expression in Australia’s multicultural and multifaith society since 1945. The study includes an appreciation of Aboriginal spiritualities and their contribution to an understanding of religious beliefs and religious expression in Australia today.

Australia has a diverse and evolving religious landscape, in which Christianity continues to play a significant role. There has been significant progress since the 1960’s in the recognition of Aboriginal spirituality, Land Rights following two centuries of dispossession, and reconciliation between Aboriginals and non-Aboriginal people.
