Term 1 - Unit 1: Every Picture Tells a Story

Our Goal This term is to: Develop an understanding of the role of the photojournalist and how to tell a powerful story through photographic imagery. 

We will achieve this by: 

• Developing skills and understanding of how to create aesthetically pleasing images, and capturing a powerful moment

• Applying the rules of composition, camera angles and use of light to capture imagery

• Recognising how codes, symbols and signs are embedded in the material and conceptual organisation of photographic and digital media

• Creating photographic and digital works for different audiences, exhibitions, displays, publications and reproduction.
