This semester, students will develop their competencies in communicating and making meaning in Italian. They will explore the themes of music, sports, and free time activities, learning about different types of sports and leisure activities, as well as ways to talk about hobbies, interests, and how they spend their free time. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to express their opinions and provide reasons for their likes and dislikes regarding school subjects and different types of food.
Throughout the course, students will explore key features of Italian-speaking communities' cultures and enhance their understanding of grammatical structures by comparing the Italian and English language systems.

creating role plays and writing texts in Italian that implement the key structures learnt in class
listening and responding to spoken Italian
employing a range of strategies to recall key vocabulary
