Through the study of 去哪里玩 Holidays, students learn about some well-known places of interest in China and learn to talk about the modes of transport they take to go about. Students will also learn about significant Chinese inventions in the area of transportations and examine the place of China in different professional fields in the world.

Students will achieve this by:

• accessing authentic Chinese Mandarin online resources

• completing online activities and games to recall key vocabulary

• listening and responding to spoken Chinese Mandarin

• reading Chinese Mandarin texts that make use of key vocabulary and language structures

• writing texts in Chinese Mandarin that incorporate the key vocabulary and language structures

• performing role plays in Chinese Mandarin

• exchanging and sharing ideas and information through group work and ‘class discussions’
