Year 11 Mathematics Standard
TERM 1, 2026
TERM 1 - Formulas and Equations, Earning Money, Practicalities of Measurement, and Classifying and Representing Data.
In 2026, students will commence the Preliminary Mathematics Standard course.
During Term 1, students will further their skills working with Formulas and Equations to include real life applications. Next, the students will develop their understanding of financial maths, specifically Earning Money. From here students will explore the Practicalities of Measurement. Finally we work on Classifying and Representing Data, building on their knowledge from Stage 5.
In Term 1, students will complete Task 1, the first of their assessments. It will be worth 30% of their overall Preliminary result.
