Year 11 Mathematics Standard

TERM 2, 2026

Students will begin Term 2 by continuing with Topic 4 – Summary Statistics, building on their knowledge from Stage 5.

In Topic 5 – Perimeter, Area and Volume, and Practicalities of Measurement, students will recognise the fundamental role of statistical analysis in societal decision-making while developing the critical literacy to identify the misuse and misrepresentation of data.

Lastly, in Topic 6 – Introduction to Networks, students will learn to use networks as a graphical tool for modelling connections and logical sequences, enabling them to optimise practical problems in social systems and task management.

In Term 2, students will complete Task 2 which will be worth 30% of their overall Preliminary result.
