YEAR 12 MATHEMATICS STANDARD 2 2026
TERM 2 - Critical Path Analysis, Non-Linear Relationships, The Normal Distribtution.
Students will begin Term 2 with Critical Path Analysis, using networks and critical thinking to model decision-making and optimise scheduling for practical problems.
In Annuities, students learn to make informed decisions regarding complex financial situations, such as annuities and loan repayments, by leveraging appropriate technology and critical thinking.
In Non-Linear Relationships, students learn to construct and analyse exponential, quadratic, and reciprocal models to solve practical growth, decay, and inverse variation problems by interpreting key features like intercepts, turning points, and hyperbolic shapes.
Lastly, in The Normal Distribution, students learn to analyse data to make accurate predictions and logical inferences. They will explore normal distributions and bivariate correlation using technology and mathematical reasoning to justify their findings.
During Term 2, students will complete Task 3 Past Papers Assessment. It contributes 20% of the overall assessment for the course.
Task 3 - Notification New 24/4/26
