YEAR 12 MATHEMATICS STANDARD 2 2026
TERM 1 - Depreciation and Loans, and Non-Right-Angled Trigonometry, Bivariate Data Analysis.
In Semester 1, students will continue with the HSC Mathematics Standard 2 course.
During Term 1, students will continue to develop their understanding of financial maths, specifically Depreciation and Loans. From here students will explore the Non-Right-Angled Trigonometry, which will include using trigonometric formulas to solve problems involving triangles that are not right-angled. Finally, students will develop their data skills with the topic Bivariate Data Analysis.
In Term 1, students will complete Task 2, their Half-Yearly Assessment. It contributes 30% of the overall assessment for the course.
