TERM 3
TERM 3 – The Normal Distribution, Simultaneous Equations, Revision.....
Students will begin Term 3 by completing The Normal Distribution. Students will use published tables to calculate the probability of an event occurring based on the relevant z-score.
Once students return after their exam block, we begin our final topic, Simultaneous Equations. This builds on their knowledge of linear functions, encompassing the breakeven point when given two straight lines. The focus in this topic is the practical aspect within solving a pair of equations involving two unknowns.
After the completion of the final topic, the students will prepare extensively for the HSC Examination. Students need to ensure that they are practicing past papers, including HSC exams and seeking teacher assistance when required.
During Term 3, students will complete Task 4 Trial HSC Examination. It contributes 40% of the overall assessment for the course.
