Big idea: .Christian teachings provide guidelines for acting with moral integrity and informing one’s conscience.
We will achieve this by investigating:
the links between Christian living, Church teaching, conscience and inspiring people of faith.
and gathering and analysing information about religion, independently and in teams.
and communicating information, ideas and issues in appropriate forms and in different contexts.
and using appropriate terminology related to religion and belief systems.
and naming, reflecting on and integrating life experience, within a response to the Christian story and vision.
We have this/these goals because:
Moral development/maturity develops with age and experience.
Conscience and specifically informed conscience are important for moral decision making.
Christian moral decisions should be based on Jesus’ teachings and Church doctrine.
Acting with moral integrity is a choice and a challenge.
