Term 1 - Music of the 20th and 21st Centuries

In this unit students will explore the topic Music of the 20th & 21st Centuries. 

Students will have a chance to compose in this style using different composition techniques. There is a strong focus on Tone colour in this topic with an aspect of unity and contrast. 

Students will compose using garageband to manipulate the sound sources, finale to realise their own written compositions. Arrange their own piece as a group in class time to reflect the idea of music and war. These composition activities will enable the students then to create their own composition. 

Concert Practise will be utilised so students can prepare their core performance piece this Term. Students will decide on their final 3 electives for their HSC program.
