Year 12 MATHEMATICS EXTENSION 2 2026
Starting Term 4 (2025) and ending 2026, students will commence the HSC
Mathematics Extension 2 course. We will build on the skills gained in the Advanced and
Extension 1 courses.
TERM 4
Complex Numbers
Arithmetic of complex numbers
Geometric representation of a complex number
Other representations of complex numbers
Solving equations with complex numbers
Geometrical implications of complex numbers
In Term 4, students will complete HSC Task 1 for the Mathematics Extension 2 Course.
It will contribute 15% of the overall assessment for each course.
