Year 12 MATHEMATICS EXTENSION 2 2027
Starting Term 4 (2026) and ending 2027, students will complete the HSC Mathematics Extension 2 course.
Students will begin Term 4 by completing the first topic, Complex Numbers. Students will solve problems involving the arithmetic of complex numbers. They will then look at the geometric representation of a complex number, and solve equations with complex numbers. Finally, students will investigate powers and roots of complex numbers, as well as describing lines, curves and regions.
During Term 4, students will complete their Task 1 Assessment Task for the Extension 2 Course, which contributes to 15% of the overall assessment.
