Year 12 MATHEMATICS EXTENSION 2 2025
TERM 3 - Projectiles and Resisted Motion.
Students will start the term by completing the final topic of the course, Projectiles and Resisted Motion. They will solve problems involving projectiles in a variety of contexts.
Next, students will look at solving problems involving projectile motion in a resisting medium and under the influence of gravity. This includes consideration of the complete motion of a particle projected vertically upwards or at an angle to the horizontal.
Students need to ensure that they are practicing past papers and seeking teacher assistance when required, as part of their preparation for the Trial HSC Examination.
In Term 3, students will complete Trial HSC Examination for the Mathematics Extension 2 Course. It contributes 40% of the overall assessment for HSC Mathematics Extension 2.
