You will continue to develop your French language skills and deepen your understanding of the language and culture of French-speaking communities. This semester, you’ll explore topics such as media, technology, home and neighbourhood, and adolescent life. These themes will help you enhance your comprehension and communication abilities in French. You’ll also strengthen your skills in interpreting and responding to French texts, and you’ll produce original written and oral work in the language. All of these activities will support your preparation for the HSC exam, helping you build confidence and fluency across key areas of the syllabus.

We will achieve this by:

• accessing authentic French online resources as Education Perfect

• completing online activities and games to recall key vocabulary

• listening and responding to spoken French

• reading French texts that make use of key vocabulary and language structures

• writing texts in French that incorporate the key vocabulary and language structures

• performing role plays in French

• exchanging and sharing ideas and information through group work and ‘class discussions’
