The goal of this unit is to explore is the contribution of significant people, rituals and ethical teachings to an understanding of Islam as a living religious tradition. The study of Islam is to be of the WHOLE tradition where applicable.

Islam offers adherents responses to modern bioethical issues by applying principles which come from its sacred texts
The Pillar of Hajj is a significant practice for adherents of Islam to demonstrate their faith individually and collectively, particularly to testify to the oneness or unity of God, Tawhid.
