Term 2 - Elective Topic

This unit explores the HSC Music 2 Elective topics. Students will develop a deep understanding of how composers use the Concepts of Music—Duration, Pitch, Dynamics & Expressive Techniques, Tone Colour, Texture, and Structure—to create meaning and convey cultural identity. Learning experiences in Performance, Composition, Musicology, and Aural are woven together each week to foster stylistic awareness and creative application. Technology is embedded purposefully through notation software and digital audio workstations (DAWs) to support composition and analysis. Differentiated activities ensure accessibility for all learners while providing extension opportunities for advanced musicians. Students will choose a topic that interests them.
