TERM 2
Task 2 - CAD & Logo Design
Our goal for this term is to develop the ability to read, interpret and produce graphical presentations that communicate information using CAD drawing techniques. Students will further develop their skills by designing a personalised logo using the steps involved in the design process.
Example of a design brief statement,
"I am redesigning a logo for my uncle’s construction company, Innovative Building Services Pty Ltd. The current logo isn’t bold or eye catching which is why I am aiming to create a new logo that portrays success, creativity and exclusiveness. Considering these emotions is vital for a construction company to attract clients and sustain a sufficient amount of work. The audience is people who are looking to build or renovate their luxury home. In order to do this, I will have to use different strategies that work in conjunction to attract the companys’ current and future clients. Some of which include, minimal effective colours as well as simple but creative shapes. Furthermore, it is fundamental to ensure the logo isn’t stereotypical as it may only attract a more specific audience but also offend certain groups in the community. In turn, a stereotypical logo could cost the company its reputation as well as current and future clients. "
