YEAR 12 MATHEMATICS STANDARD 1 2026
TERM 1 - Investments, Depreciation and Loans, and Right-Angled Triangles.
In Semester 1, students will continue with the HSC Mathematics Standard 1 course.
During Term 1, students will begin their with the financial topic of Investments, which will include real life applications. Next, the students will continue to develop their understanding of financial maths, specifically Depreciation and Loans. From here students will explore the Right-Angles Triangles, which will include using Pythagoras' Theorem and the Trigonometric Ratios.
In Term 1, students will complete Task 2, their Half-Yearly Assessment. It contributes 30% of the overall assessment for the course.
