Unit 3: Historical Investigation

Rationale: The Historical Investigation provides opportunities for Modern History students to develop their skills in investigating, researching, and communicating. In particular, it challenges them to conduct an inquiry to investigate the actions, motivations and significance of a historical Personality within their historical context (national/global). In doing so, students will apply their source analysis skills to select relevant evidence, recognise contestable representations of their chosen Personality and construct a reasoned, evidence-based response to the question posed.
