Term 2 - Body of Work and Case Studies #4 and #5  

Our Goal This term is to: Develop an understanding of how artists use their world as a source of inspiration, whilst studying other artists whilst informing their own artmaking. To develop knowledge and skills, informed by their understanding of practice, the Frames and Conceptual Framework are explored through the study of an artist and their work. Students are able to select their own inspiring artist for this unit. The artmaking focus of this unit is on the development of the HSC Body of Work.

We will achieve this by:

• Investigating how artists use their world to represent their ideas. 

• Recognising what can be revealed about the artist and their audience through their artworks.

• Investigating ways of developing coherence and layers of meaning in their artmaking.

• Exploring the conventions of practice in artmaking in ways that support artistic intention.
