Term 1 2026 Unit 2 - Year 12 - BOW and Case Studies & Half-yearly Examination

Our Goal This term is to:

Develop an understanding of how artists use their world as a source of inspiration whilst studying other artists, whilst informing their artmaking. The Frames and Conceptual Framework are explored through the study of Paul Cezanne and his works to develop knowledge and skills, informed by their understanding of practice. Also, complete an independent Case Study Research on an influential artist. The artmaking focus of this unit is on the further development of the HSC Body of Work.

We will achieve this by:

• Investigating how artists use their world to represent their ideas. 

• Recognising what can be revealed about the artist, their world and audience through their artworks.

• Investigating ways of developing coherence and layers of meaning in their artmaking.

• Exploring the conventions of practice in artmaking in ways that support artistic intention.
