Students in Mrs. Krause’s class worked on technical writing by creating step-by-step directions to build a parachute. Then they had to create the parachute with a limited amount of supplies to see if their directions were sufficient.
Students In Mrs. Tuthill's class used their knowledge of Newton's 3 Laws of Motion to build a Millennium Falcon spacecraft that would protect the crew members aboard during a crash. The spacecraft was dropped from 3 different heights and students would have to alter the designs of their spacecraft to keep the marshmallows (crew members) safe inside the cockpit (cup).
