EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY
High school seniors with an A average in the course will be exempt from the final exam for that course. Students in grades 9-11 may not exempt final exams.
A final exam does NOT include an EOC, EOPA, or other mandated test.
Students and parents/guardians will be notified in advance if a student is exempt from a final exam.
EARLY RELEASE PROCEDURES: December 19th & 20th

Student Support Services Personnel Changes
We are thrilled to announce two important changes in our Student Support Services team:
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Briann Nash to her new role as Student Support Services Secretary. Ms. Nash will be responsible for overseeing student attendance among her various duties. If you ever need to submit an electronic attendance excuse for your student, please don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Nash at bnash@jcss.us.

Pathway Information and Dual Enrollment Night
The Jackson County School System will be hosting a Pathway Information and Dual Enrollment Night at the Empower College and Career Center on Thursday, October 26 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. In addition to the pathway information night inside the student center, JCSS and Empower will be hosting an informational meeting for students who will be in 9th grade for the 2024-25 school year at 6:15 and 7 p.m. A Dual enrollment meeting, for students who will be in 10th through 12 grade for the upcoming school year, will be held at 5:30 p.m. inside the Empower Auditorium.

Work-Based Learning Spotlight
JCHS Senior, Kylen Hewell is an intern for the Banks/Jackson Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Chapter. She is hosted by Mrs. Kelsi Jones, and today she led the Legacy Knoll Middle School Friday meeting as the primary speaker. Kylen rocked her speech. She plans to play softball in college and continue her journey with FCA into a potential career.

Panther Highlights
Congratulations to Jackson County High School's rowing stars, Emerson Wright, Colton Couch, and Mattox Couch, for securing gold medals at the Secret City Head race in Oak Ridge, TN. Their impressive victories in the U17 quad and singles races, with times nearly a minute faster than their competitors, highlight their dedication and excellence. Great job representing Panther Nation!

VOLLEYBALL FINISHES SEASON
Volleyball Season ended Saturday at Pope High School. The Panther varsity team ended the year with a 30-7 record, region runner up, ranked in the top ten in the state, and with a sweet sixteen appearance. A great season!
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY REGION RUNNERS UP
The Panther girls cross country team finished Region 8-AAAAAA Runner Up for the second consecutive year on Saturday. They will move to the State meet in Carrollton on November 4th.
The boys team raced hard, but finished just short of qualifying for state. Their season comes to an end.
SOFTBALL SEASON ENDS IN STATE PLAYOFFS
For the 9th season in 10 years, Panther softball took a trip to the state playoffs. The Panthers defeated Roswell 8-0, but fell to East Paulding to end their season with a 17-10 record.
CHEER HITS A PERFECT ROUTINE AT SOUTH FORSYTH
Our Lady Cheer Cats NAILED their routine on Saturday and defeated Lakeside (Evans), Johns Creek, Etowah, and Alpharetta. We finished 1.5 points behind Roswell to take home 4th overall!
