AP Exam Registration

Please Read: AP Informational Letter

For students enrolled in AP courses, registration for 1st Semester AP exams is now available through Total Registration. Parents and students can locate the AP testing exam schedule, and link to the Total Registration website at our JCHS AP webpage.

EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY

High school seniors with an A average in the course will be exempt from the final exam for that course. Students in grades 9-11 may not exempt final exams.
A final exam does NOT include an EOC, EOPA, or other mandated test.
Students and parents/guardians will be notified in advance if a student is exempt from a final exam.

EARLY RELEASE PROCEDURES: December 19th & 20th

Car riders and students who drive may leave campus at 10:55
Lunch: 10:55-11:20 (all students) with a release to buses by 11:25

JCSS Thanksgiving Food Drive

Winter Coat Drive

Key Club is joining forces with 7 Pillars of Hope to provide coats for our homeless community this winter. New or gently used coats may be dropped off in the JCHS Front Office until December 8th. Thank you for helping us make a difference!

Scholastic Images on Campus

Scholastic Images will be on campus at Jackson County on Friday, November 10th during lunch, so don’t miss out placing your orders for:

Letter Jacket Orders for any student who has earned a letter!
- Bring proof that you earned your letter (actual award letter or certificate) and a $100 deposit to get the order started!
- We’ll custom size you and walk you through the rest!
Class Ring Orders for any junior or senior!
- Bring payment in full for the Mascot Ring Special ($332.95)!
- Bring $100 deposit for Ultrium metal or $200 deposit for all other metals!

Deck the Halls with Jaxco Spirit! The Jackson County High School Library Learning Commons is excited to announce our special holiday ornament fundraiser. We have beautifully crafted wooden ornaments, produced right here at JCHS, that are sure to add a festive flair to your home this holiday season. During the month of October, our Panther teachers nominated each other for Teacher of the Month from 8 different departments. Each of those 8 teachers then selected 1 student as Student of the Month from their respective departments. Work-Based Learning Spotlight

JCSS has a fantastic industry partnership with Northeast Georgia Health Systems (NGHS). Megan Placencia (JCHS Senior) is a youth apprentice going through rotations. Megan is currently working in the Braselton Emergency Room. This WBL real-world, experience is allowing her to witness and practice what she learned in her CTAE Healthcare Pathway classes.

Senior Pictures:

Your formal (tux or black drape) photo for the yearbook must be taken by Cady Studios. Your senior photos must be taken by December 15th to appear in the yearbook.
You may submit a casual photo by an outside photographer. If you are going to use a casual photo from your Cady shoot, you DO NOT need to upload your photo. If you would like to use a casual photo from an outside photographer, please upload your image at this link.
Be sure to type the student's first name, last name, and school email in the appropriate boxes to ensure your photo is placed in the yearbook. Then click 'Upload Portrait'. Uploading your image is the ONLY way to submit a casual photo. Please DO NOT email them to Mrs. Pitman or the yearbook staff. You MUST upload your photo by December 15th.
