AP Exam Registration
AP Exam Registration is LIVE for all students taking AP courses in the spring of 2024!!
Students must complete the two-step registration and payment process by March 1st at 11:59 PM.
After 12:01 AM on March 2, 2024 students will be charged a late fee of $ 40.00 per exam.
Parents and students can locate the AP testing exam schedule, AP Spring Testing Letter, and link to the Total Registration website at our JCHS AP web page.
Any student having trouble accessing their College Board account may contact the College Board directly by calling 1-866-315-6068.

EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY
High school seniors with an A average in the course will be exempt from the final exam for that course. Students in grades 9-11 may not exempt final exams.
A final exam does NOT include an EOC, EOPA, or other mandated test.
Students and parents/guardians will be notified in advance if a student is exempt from a final exam.

Visit to West Jackson Fire Department
This week, Ms. Sharpton's and Ms. Harris's students had an exciting field trip to the West Jackson Fire Department for Community-Based Instruction. The visit provided valuable hands-on learning experiences and helped create a deeper connection to the local community. We sincerely appreciate the contributions of all our local fire departments to our community!
UGA Director of Bands
Members of the Jackson County High School Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble were visited by Dr. Nicholas Williams, who serves as the Director of Bands at the University of Georgia! Dr. Williams gave amazing feedback to our students as they prepare for the Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) Wednesday!
Georgia All-State Chorus
Congratulations to Ethan Day, Charlotte Gibson, Charlie Hansen, and Brayden Sabin on an incredibly successful Georgia All-State Chorus Weekend! These students passed two tough auditions and spent three days straight in rehearsals before giving fantastic chorus concerts. We are so proud of them for representing our chorus program and JCHS!

Jackson County Community Outreach Scholarships
Each year the Jackson County Community Outreach awards scholarships to deserving high school students planning to attend college and technical schools. These scholarships are awarded, exclusively, to seniors who attend high schools in Jackson County. The breakdown of scholarships is listed below:
JCCO TRADITIONAL Scholarship ($1000 each)
JCCO TECHNICAL Scholarship ($2000 each)
TOM LEWIS LEADERSHIP Scholarship ($1500)
JIM SCOTT VISIONARY Scholarship ($2500)
To qualify for any of these scholarships, students must show evidence of:
a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5
school/community involvement
need for financial assistance
Willingness to participate in an interview, if selected to move forward
Please complete this form in full and give it to your counselor to apply for the 2024 Scholarship Award. Applications are due to counselors by February 29, 2024. For additional information, visit the JCCO website.
