Working on the yearbook staff is a rewarding experience, but requires dedication and hard work.  The yearbook not only documents the school year, but also serves as a historical piece that will forever be a part of Jackson County High School.  As a staff member, you will be responsible for content creation, content collection, story writing, book promotion and marketing among many other responsibilities.  You MUST also have space in your class schedule to be enrolled in Journalism as during this class is when the yearbook is created.  The yearbook staff has minimal after-school responsibilities, but our class time is packed full.

If you are a fun, hard-working, creative person, then you have found the place to make your mark on Jackson County High School. To apply go to www.tinyurl.com/JCHSYearbookApp24.

 Jackson EMC Summer Linework Internship

Attention Seniors! Jackson EMC is excited to announce its Summer 2024 Line Worker Intern Program. This is their second year having this program and they are excited to have all of their district offices as well as their corporate office participate this year.

What is the program?  This is an 8-week paid internship working with our line crews. This opportunity is a true summer internship and will not convert into a full-time position, but it is a great way to find out if you have interest in a line worker career prior to going to lineman school or contracting work. Participants will learn about what our crews do to maintain our lines and keep the lights on as well as what is needed to stay safe in the field.

How do students apply? The job will be posted on our careers site in mid-April. Applicants will need to apply on the careers site at https://www.jacksonemc.com/my-cooperative/careers and have a current resume prepared. They will conduct formal interviews for these positions.
