AP Exam Registration

For students enrolled in AP courses, registration for 1st Semester AP exams is now available through Total Registration. Parents and students can locate the AP testing exam schedule, and link to the Total Registration website at our JCHS AP webpage.
Students must be registered and paid in full on Total Registration by November 1st.

EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY
High school seniors with an A average in the course will be exempt from the final exam for that course. Students in grades 9-11 may not exempt final exams.
A final exam does NOT include an EOC, EOPA, or other mandated test.
Students and parents/guardians will be notified in advance if a student is exempt from a final exam.
EARLY RELEASE PROCEDURES: December 19th & 20th
Car riders and students who drive may leave campus at 10:55
Lunch: 10:55-11:20 (all students) with a release to buses by 11:25

AP Testing
Attention JCHS Students and Parents!
Only ONE WEEK remains to register and pay for AP Exams for 1st Semester!
Students must complete the two step registration and payment process by November 1st at 11:59 PM.
After 12:01 AM on Thursday, Nov 2, 2023 students will be paying a late fee of $ 40.00 per exam.
Parents and students can locate the AP testing exam schedule, AP Informational Letter, and link to the Total Registration website (https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/110425) at our JCHS AP web page.
Students will not register or pay for 2nd semester AP courses until 2nd semester.
Any student having trouble accessing their College Board account may contact the College Board directly by calling 1-866-315-6068.

ESP Club
The Jackson County High School ESP Club met in October for a pumpkin painting session, emphasizing inclusion and awareness for all students. This club, known as Extra Special People (ESP), envisions a world where everyone in the community, regardless of their abilities, can access transformative experiences.
One Act Play Competition

Work-Based Learning Spotlight
JCHS senior, Rylee Williams works at Dragon Academy for 4th block WBL. Upon graduation, Rylee plans to pursue teaching as a profession. Rylee says, “Working here has helped me realize I am good with children. I am thinking about teaching Elementary School or Special Education.”

I know senior year brings many responsibilities and tasks. Many seniors have not taken their yearbook portrait with Cady Studios. We have extended the deadline to December 15th. This is the final deadline. Cady Studios will be on campus on November 29th to take those photos. You can book this shoot or choose another date at Cady's studio in Dacula by going to www.cady.com and clicking seniors in the navigation bar.

CHEER TAKES FIRST PLACE
Our Competition Cheer Cats finished the regular season with a first place finish at Loganville on Saturday.
Next up is the Region/Sectional Meet at Houston County to earn a place at STATE!
BROWNLEE COMMITS TO BELMONT ABBEY
Senior Softball player Maegan Brownlee announced her committment to Belmont Abbey Softball this week. Belmont Abbey participates in NCAA Division II softball.
Maegan was a four year varsity player for our Panthers.
JV FLAG FOOTBALL PICKS UP TWO WINS
JV Flag Football travelled to Decatur this week and defeated Buford (12-0) and Decatur (26-0)
