Paraprofessional – Special Education

Jim Hamilton began his Paraprofessional career in 2016, after retiring from a career in corporate sales and account management. He recently relocated back from Whidbey Island, WA to NE Georgia. During his high school and college years, Mr. Hamilton worked with youth and young adults while serving as a Summer Camp Counselor. He coached Little League and taught Sunday School for a number of years. Having a heart for children, the choice was simple when selecting his second career. It was like a duck being drawn to a body of water.  Mr. Hamilton loves riding his bicycle, trying new recipes on his grill and spending time with his grandchildren.

Hey, y'all! I'm Stephanie Langley. I began teaching science in 2006 and have taught biology, chemistry, physics, and physical science. I graduated with my undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and went back for my Masters degree after my oldest was born in 2010. (Gooooo Dawgs! Sic' em! ❤️🖤)

I love ALL sciences, but I really love teaching physical sciences like chemistry and physics. It is so fun to learn from playing and just figuring out how things work!

Aside from teaching science because I love it, 👩‍🔬 I really just love working with kids. It's amazing to see kids stretch, grow, take chances, learn from mistakes, and have fun while they're doing it. I've been around the block a time or two (or 3...), but teaching high schoolers keeps me young. 😆

My husband, Reid, and I live in this community and truly love the home we have built in Jackson County. We have 2 boys who also attend JCSS schools. Our oldest son, Lawson, who loves basketball 🏀 more than anyone else I know, is a 7th grader at WJMS. Our youngest, Weston, who can name every NFL player ever 🏈, is a 4th grader at GSES. I am so excited to join the JCHS faculty and serve the community where I live! I can't wait to meet everyone and become a part of the Jaxco family! ❤️🖤

Mark Lockard is a first year English teacher and recent graduate of UGA's Master of Arts in Teaching program. He also holds degrees from Vanderbilt Divinity School and Martin Methodist College (now UT Southern). A lifelong reader, Mr. Lockard is passionate about all things ELA. Mr. Lockard believes reading, writing, and speaking are ways we can better understand ourselves and our world, so he is eager to help students develop their skills with rigor and joyful practice.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Lockard enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, playing tennis, watching college basketball, and spending time with his wife Whitney and their daughter Josephine.
