 AP Exam Registration 

AP Exam Registration is LIVE for all students taking AP courses in the spring of 2024!!

Students must complete the two-step registration and payment process by March 1st at 11:59 PM. 

After 12:01 AM on March 2, 2024 students will be charged a late fee of $ 40.00 per exam.

Parents and students can locate the AP testing exam schedule, AP Spring Testing Letter, and link to the Total Registration website at our JCHS AP web page

Any student having trouble accessing their College Board account may contact the College Board directly by calling 1-866-315-6068.

 JCHS Speech Competition 

The JCHS Literary Team is hosting a school-wide essay and extemporaneous speaking competition on Thursday, January 25th. The essay competition includes personal, argumentative, and literary analysis categories, and the extemporaneous speaking includes domestic and international current events topics. See your English teacher or Mr. Nichols to sign up to compete. 

 IB Applications 

We are currently accepting applications for students who wish to participate in the full IB Diploma Program as juniors and seniors. To learn more about the IB diploma program, please review our school’s IB website as well as the official IBO Diploma Parent Pack. 


Any 10th grade students interested must complete the application this year. 9th grade students who are interested are also encouraged to apply now in order to ensure their 10th grade schedules prepare them for success in the IB program. (Please note, students are welcome to take 1-3 IB courses without applying to and participating in the full Diploma Program.)

The Jackson County School System will be hosting a Career Fair on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Empower College and Career Center. Positions available include: K-12 Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Paraprofessionals, School Food Nutrition, Transportation, Custodial, Student Support Services and Facilities and Maintenance!

Attention Sophomore and Juniors:

If you are interested in applying for Dual Enrollment for next school year please see the graphic below for some information on getting started. 

Please know that even if you intend to Dual Enroll next year, you still must select 8 classes + 3 alternative classes that are all offered at the high school level during the class registration that you are completing in your advisement classes right now. **Students should check their GPAs using their GaFutures.org account.** To complete the Appointment Request form, you must be signed into your JCHS Google account

DECEMBER STUDENT ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to Chandler Blake and EJ Heath...our December Student Athletes of the Month!

BOYS WRESTLING TOP 6 IN STATE

On Friday and Saturday, our Panther Wrestlers continued their great season by making it to the Class 6A semifinals for duals, ultimately finishing in the top 6 of state.

Traditional (Individual) season is up next!

GIRLS WRESTLING FINISHES 4th out of 39 at gwinnett games

Another great showing by girls wrestling this weekend, this time at the Gwinnett Games at Norcross.

Our Lady Panther wrestlers finished 4th overall out of 39 schools at the event, with several individuals placing in their weight class.

GIRLS AND BOYS BASKETBALL PICK UP WINS THIS WEEK

Both varsity basketball teams picked up wins this week.

The boys defeated Gilmer County at a showcase event at Lakeview Academy on Monday.

The girls got a BIG region win over Gainesville at home on Tuesday.

Both teams are in position to make a run at the state tournament this season.
