Calling all rising 9th grade students and parents! Join us for the 4th Annual Panther Preview on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 5:30–7:30 PM at Jackson County High School.
The evening will begin with a presentation in the auditorium at 5:30 PM featuring valuable information to help students and families feel prepared for the start of high school.
After the meeting, families will have the opportunity to walk their student’s schedule and meet club and sports representatives. We can’t wait to welcome the Class of 2030 to JCHS!
Please note: This event is for rising 9th grade students and parents, as well as students new to the district.
Students enrolled in Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate courses are expected to complete these assignments before their AP/IB course begins. The assignments are not meant to be punitive. They are designed to help you build background knowledge, preview the first unit of the course, and feel more prepared and confident as you begin your advanced coursework.
Please visit the Advanced Courses Supplemental Work page to view the list of AP/IB courses and access the assignment links for each course.

Jackson County High School encourages all parents and guardians to download two essential apps to stay informed and connected throughout the school year.
Infinite Campus Parent Portal provides access to student grades, attendance, schedules, and notifications.
ParentSquare is our main communication tool for school updates, teacher messages, and important district information.
Both apps are available for Apple and Android devices and are important tools for supporting your student’s success at JCHS.
If you need help accessing your Infinite Campus account, please visit this link to request assistance.
Reminder: All senior portrait information is being communicated directly by Magic Moments Photography. If you have any questions, need to schedule an appointment, or need additional information, please contact Magic Moments Photography directly at magicmomentjaxco@yahoo.
The JCHS Beta Club is hosting a School Supply Drive to help support our students as we begin a new school year. Families are invited to bring donations to Open House on July 27.
Supplies may be dropped off at the JCHS Cafeteria during Open House. Needed items include tissues, Expo markers, markers, colored pencils, sharpened pencils, paper towels, Clorox wipes, highlighters, Sharpies, and hand sanitizer. Thank you for your generosity and support!
To keep children in schools healthy, Georgia requires children to get vaccines against certain diseases. Please contact your child's primary care doctor to schedule the correct vaccines, or contact the local health department. Once the vaccines have been administered, your doctor should provide an updated Immunization Form 3231. A copy of this form needs to be given to your child's school.
Want to know what’s happening in Panther Nation? Be sure to read the Panther Press! The Panther Press is our weekly publication for students and families. It includes important updates, upcoming events, athletics information, club and organization news, and celebrations of student success.
Beginning the first week of school, the Panther Press will be sent out every Sunday through ParentSquare and shared on JCHS social media to help you get ready for the week ahead.
