Senior final exams will take place May 12–13, followed by underclassmen (9th–11th grade) final exams on May 19–20. Please note that early release will occur on Wednesday, May 20 after exams conclude.
Families are encouraged to review the full schedule, ensure students are prepared, and mark these important dates on their calendars. Attendance is essential—there are no early exams, and missed exams may result in a zero until completed.

Jackson County High School proudly recognizes senior Victoria Milburn as this week’s Work-Based Learning Spotlight student. Victoria has challenged herself academically with a strong schedule of AP, IB, and honors courses, while also completing several CTAE healthcare pathways.
To further build her résumé and explore potential career paths, Victoria completed an internship at Howell Orthodontics in Jefferson. There, she gained valuable hands-on experience in a professional healthcare setting while determining her future goals.
Her dedication and work ethic quickly stood out. Dr. Howell shared, “Victoria is the best Work-Based Learning student we’ve ever had,” a significant statement from a practice with years of experience mentoring students.
Because of her outstanding performance, Victoria has earned a paid position for the summer before heading off to college. Her success is a true reflection of her commitment, professionalism, and drive for excellence

Senior Chromebook return will take place May 7–13 in the Jaxco Library Learning Commons. Chromebooks can be returned on any of the collection days during the times listed, so plan to come at a time that works best for you.
All details—including dates, times, and expectations—are posted on the Senior Information Website. Please review this information before your return day so you know what to expect.
If your Chromebook has any damage, we highly encourage you to submit a technology Incident IQ ticket through the Student Clever page before the return window begins. This will help make your return quicker and easier.
Attention Seniors! After graduation, you’ll no longer have access to your JCSS Google account, including your Gmail and Google Drive.
If there are any files or emails you want to keep, be sure to transfer them to a personal Google account using Google Takeout. The good news is this process copies your content—so nothing will be deleted from your school account while you transfer.
Helpful tip: Instead of transferring everything, it’s much faster to move just the files you really need into a folder and transfer that. Moving your entire Drive and Gmail can take quite a while—sometimes up to a week depending on how much you have saved.
Check out the directions provided for step-by-step help.
If you have additional questions or need help, please submit an Incident IQ technology ticket from your Clever page.

Library books are due by Monday, May 4! Check your school email for any overdue notices and take care of returns or lost book fines as soon as possible.
Students: If you plan to obtain your learner’s permit or driver’s license within the next 30 days, please request your Certificate of School Enrollment and ADAP Certificate by visiting this link.
Once requested, certificates will be ready for pickup in the front office the NEXT DAY after 1:00 PM.
For questions, please email Mrs. Armendariz at larmendariz@jcss.us.
