Many four-year colleges and universities consider ACT or SAT scores as part of the admissions process. Because testing requirements vary by institution, students should check the Admissions page of each college’s website to determine whether scores are required.
We recommend that students take the ACT or SAT for the first time during the fall or spring semester of their junior year. This provides time to receive scores, identify areas for improvement, and retake the test if needed.
