Take time to relax during Spring Break, April 6–10, and we’ll welcome students back on Monday, April 13.
Senior Letters for Class of 2026
Families and friends are invited to write a letter to a graduating senior to celebrate this special milestone. Letters can include memories, encouragement, or well wishes and will be given to seniors at the Senior Reception.
Please send letters to the school (see graphic for details) by May 4, 2026.

Second Semester Exam Schedule – Mark Your Calendars!
Jackson County High School’s second-semester exams are quickly approaching! EOC exams will take place May 6–15, followed by senior final exams on May 12–13 and underclassmen (9th–11th grade) final exams on May 19–20. Please note that early release will occur on Wednesday, May 20 after exams conclude. Families are encouraged to review the full schedule, ensure students are prepared, and mark these important dates on their calendars. Attendance is essential—there are no early exams, and missed exams may result in a zero until completed.

GHP Finalists Recognized for Excellence in Music
Congratulations to Mackenzie Hagerty and Logan Wagner for being named Georgia Governor’s Honors Program Finalists in Music. Their dedication, talent, and hard work have earned them this outstanding recognition.
Selected through a highly competitive statewide process, these students stood out for their exceptional musical ability and commitment to excellence. The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program is a prestigious residential summer experience where gifted students engage in advanced, specialized learning beyond the traditional classroom.
This summer, Mackenzie and Logan will join top students from across the state to further develop their skills, collaborate with peers, and grow as musicians and leaders.
We are incredibly proud of their achievement and can’t wait to see all they accomplish!

Work-Based Learning Spotlight
JCHS senior Asher Bruce is expanding his skills through Work-Based Learning at Ally Bee’s Honey, where he spends two blocks each day on-site.
After completing the Business Entrepreneurship CTAE pathway, Asher sought the opportunity to learn directly from a successful local business owner. In his role, he assists with receiving orders, managing inventory, manufacturing, packaging, and labeling products, and shipping.
This experience has provided Asher with a deeper understanding of what it takes to run a small business while further strengthening his interest in entrepreneurship.
Jaxco Sports Physicals will be offered on Wednesday, April 15 for rising 9th–12th graders!

Seven JAXCO wrestlers earned 2025–2026 NWCA Scholar All-American honors, showcasing elite performance in both academics and competition. Proud to represent what it means to be a true student-athlete.
Key Club Fundraiser
Key Club is selling candy grams to send a "Sweet Goodbye" to a Senior! Candy grams will be distributed to seniors during the month of April. All proceeds will be donated to Thirst Project to provide clean water to eSwatini.

Thank you for a great class meeting this morning. We cannot wait to celebrate with you as you approach graduation. Below you will find the highlights from today’s meeting. You can also access the PowerPoint used in today’s meeting HERE.

Please read ALL information on the site as it provides everything you need to know about graduation. Be sure to pay attention to dress code, graduation rehearsal, Ford Akins Arena's clear bag and security policies, and arrival times.
Parents/guardians will receive a separate ParentSquare message with the Graduation Bus Transportation Permission Form. The form must be completed by Friday, April 24th for students who plan to use bus transportation for Graduation Rehearsal. The ParentSquare message will be sent directly to parents/guardians.
Cap and Gown Package (includes your senior dues)
All seniors who have not purchased their cap and gown packages need to do so ASAP at www.scholasticimages.com.

Certificate of Enrollment
Students: If you plan to obtain your learner’s permit or driver’s license within the next 30 days, please request your Certificate of School Enrollment and ADAP Certificate by visiting this link.
Once requested, certificates will be ready for pickup in the front office the NEXT DAY after 1:00 PM.
