JCHS Chromebook Checklist
Dear Panther Families,
As we gear up for the upcoming school year, we kindly request your assistance in ensuring that your student's Chromebook is in optimal condition for learning. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Please note that all returning 9th-12th graders should have a Chromebook assigned to them.
Here are a few quick checks to perform on your Chromebook:
Check for Damage: Inspect your Chromebook for any physical damage. Report any damages on this form.
Check the Charger: Ensure that your Chromebook charger is present, functioning properly, and that there are no loose or frayed wires. If you are missing a charger, replacement chargers are available for purchase at $25 each.
Clean Your Chromebook: Clorox wipes can be used to clean the device. Please power off the Chromebook, wipe it with the Clorox wipe, and then dry it with a paper towel. It's important that all Chromebooks are free from stickers or any form of graffiti.
If your Chromebook requires repairs or if you need further assistance, please complete this form, and a member of our Jackson County High School technology team will reach out to you.
Lastly, don't forget to bring your fully charged Chromebook with you on the first day of school.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to a successful school year ahead!
Important Advisement Information
We’re excited to share some important updates to our advisement schedule for the upcoming semester!
Starting this school year, Advisement will take place during your 3rd block class with your 3rd block teacher. This change is designed to give you a more consistent experience and more time to focus on what matters most—your success and growth!
Here’s what you can expect each week:
Weekly Advisement Schedule:
Monday – Meaningful Monday
Start the week strong with goal-setting, reflection, and positive discussions.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – PROUD Days (see image at bottom)
Use this time for study hall, catching up on assignments, and receiving targeted academic support (remediation or enrichment).
Friday – Announcements & Spirit Friday
Catch the latest news, watch fun spirit videos, and celebrate our school community together!
🏫 Club Meetings – Coming Wednesdays
Club meetings will be held periodically on Wednesdays during advisement. More details will be shared soon about the club schedules.
🗓 Sample Schedule
To help you get comfortable with the new setup, we’ve included examples of how your schedule might look. Look for the “Advisement” period now listed as part of 3rd block.
We believe this new structure will help you stay more connected, focused, and supported throughout your school week. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to your teacher or a school administrator.
