JCHS Mindset Heroes of the Month: Live to Give
At Jackson County High School, we’re proud to recognize two incredible individuals who truly embody the Live to Give mindset!
Brandon De La Torre leads by example, always giving his best in everything he does. A strong and positive influence among his peers, he encourages those around him to aim higher while staying focused on his own goals. His dedication and generous spirit make him a standout example of what it means to Live to Give.
Mrs. Simonds makes every moment count, creating a classroom where her ceramics students feel seen, valued, and inspired. From organizing ceramics exhibits to leading the annual mug sale, she goes above and beyond to provide meaningful experiences that empower her students and give their work purpose beyond the classroom.
We’re proud to celebrate these Panthers for their passion, leadership, and commitment to making a difference at Jackson County High School
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day

Whether offering a helping hand, a kind word, or a steady presence, their impact on our students is immeasurable.
Our Panther family is truly grateful for the hard work, encouragement, and belief in our students that our paraprofessionals bring to JCHS. You are champions behind the scenes and heroes in our hearts. Thank you for everything you do — today and every day.

We're proud to highlight Abigail Johnson, one of our outstanding Work-Based Learning (WBL) students who is gaining real-world experience at B-Tan in Jefferson. A JCHS junior, Abigail is learning valuable workplace skills while contributing to a local business supporting student growth. Her professionalism, drive, and positive attitude make her a shining example of what WBL is all about. Thank you to Brenda Dennis, the owner, for partnering with our WBL program and investing in the future workforce.
