In light of the recent tragedy at Appalachee High School, our hearts are heavy. We extend our deepest condolences to the students, families, and staff who have been affected by this heartbreaking event. As a community, we stand with them during this incredibly difficult time, offering our thoughts, prayers, and support.

Pink Out
Our Panther Pit students have chosen to change Friday's spirit theme to PINK OUT. Jaxco will proudly wear pink in memory of Coach Heather Backer, whose strength, courage, and inspiring spirit continue to shine brightly in Panther Nation. Let’s unite to show our Panther spirit and honor Coach Backer’s lasting legacy!

Dancing with the Panthers
Dancing with the Panthers is here! Join us for an unforgettable night as your favorite JCHS staff members take the stage with our talented dance team for ONE NIGHT ONLY on Wednesday, September 18th at 7 PM!
Watch and vote for your favorite team as they compete for the crown of the ultimate dance champion! The lineup includes Mrs. Gillespie, Ms. Adamo, Coach Brooks, Mr. Malone, Ms. Pitman, Mr. Bachman, Mrs. Curtis, and Mrs. Fowler.

Homecoming Dance
Get ready for an unforgettable night at the Jackson County High School Homecoming Dance! Join us on Saturday, September 28th, from 7:00-10:00 PM in the JCHS Panther Pavillon for a neon-themed celebration you won’t want to miss.
Don’t forget—Homecoming Guest forms are available now in the front office and at the back table in the café during lunches. Be sure to submit your forms to Mrs. Armendariz by Wednesday, September 25th, at 3:30 PM sharp. Late forms will not be accepted, so get your form in on time!
Scholastic Images
Scholastic Images, our Official Letter Jacket partner, will be at Jackson County on Friday, September 13th during all lunches to walk you through the easy ordering process.
To place your Letter jacket order, you just need:
A $150 deposit (cash, check, card)
Proof that you have lettered or pre-approval that you will letter in the next 4-6 weeks (your JC award letter, varsity letter certificate, or signed flyer (attached))
Any additional patches you may already have at the time of order
Whether you lettered in fine arts, academics, or athletics, order your jacket now to show off your hard work and school pride for as long as possible! Letter Jacket information is always available at www.scholasticimages.com as well as in the front office.
Register for the College Fair!
11th and 12th graders are invited to attend the 2024 Probe College Fair on October 7th (9-11 am) at East Jackson High School. To attend students must register for the fair using the QR Code or this link, and completing and returning the permission forms by September 27th. Forms are available in the front offices at JCHS or Empower. A dress code for attending this event is mandatory and is business casual. For questions, see Mr. Maxwell.
JCHS Mindset Heroes of the Month
At Jackson County High School, we are proud to recognize Khristian Lee and Tiffany Jones as our 7 Mindset Student and Staff Heroes of the Month.
Khris embodies the "Everything is Possible" mindset, approaching every day with a smile and a determination to overcome any challenge. His teachers admire his positive attitude, willingness to ask questions, and unshakable confidence in his ability to achieve his goals.
Mrs. Jones, also representing the "Everything is Possible" mindset, inspires both colleagues and students with her unwavering optimism and commitment to student success.

National BETA School of Distinction
We are excited to share that the Jackson County High School National Beta Club has been honored as a 2023-2024 National Beta School of Distinction!
This recognition reflects the incredible dedication of our members and the unwavering support of our school community, as our club increased membership by over 10% from last year. The National Beta School of Distinction Award celebrates clubs that are not only growing but also thriving in their mission to instill these core values in more students each year.

Jackson County High School Work-Based Learning
Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is one of our newer WBL partnerships beginning last year. This Fall semester four students, Dionna Sakharchuk, Alison Iancu, Adelyn Lovejoy, & Arijana Pranjkic) are participating in healthcare rotations at Gainesville or Braselton locations. They work directly with doctors, nurses, technicians, etc. in the emergency departments, cardiac observation unit, rehabilitation centers, etc. A special thanks to Amy Poole, NGHS Workforce Development Coordinator.
The IB student meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 10th.
Everyone is welcome to join FBLA at Empower on Wednesday September 11th @ 3:30. Come learn how to network with others, build that college resume, and have fun. Transportation to Empower provided. Ensure you are picked up by 5:00 pm. If you cannot make the afternoon meeting, there will be a make-up meeting in Mr. Wilson's room on Thursday morning.
There will be an informational meeting for the girls' soccer team on September 11th at 3:10 PM. Please join us in Coach Maier's room (5210) for all the details about the upcoming season. If you're interested in joining the team or want to learn more, this is the perfect opportunity!

Attention Seniors!
Cap and Gown Packages MUST be ordered from Scholastic Images. You can place your order in person at JCHS during lunch this Friday, September 13th, or order online here. Please be aware that a $25 late fee will apply for any orders placed after February 1st.
The Cap and Gown package includes your graduation attire (cap, gown, stole, and tassel) as well as the diploma, diploma cover, graduation program, and helps cover costs for graduation and senior activities throughout the 2024-2025 school year. Don’t wait—order yours today!
