Jaxco Ornament of the Year: A New Holiday Tradition
This holiday season, start a meaningful tradition with the 2024 Jaxco Ornament. Each year, add a new ornament to your tree and create a timeless collection that celebrates the spirit of Jackson County and the memories we share as a community.
Our ornaments are crafted in the Jaxco Library Learning Commons to fund special projects year-round. After you order, ornaments can be picked up at JCHS or your school's front office.

Final Exams Schedule
Be sure to add these important final exam dates to your calendars for December:
End-of-Course (EOC) Exams:
EOCs are Milestone tests required for students currently enrolled in American Literature, Biology, Algebra 1, or U.S. History. Students not enrolled in these classes will not take an EOC.
December 9th: American Lit Section 1 EOC Exam
December 10th: American Lit Sections 2 & 3 EOC Exam
December 11th: Biology EOC Exam
December 12th: Algebra 1 EOC Exam
December 13th: US History EOC Exam
Final Exams:
All 9th-11th grade students, along with seniors who do not have a weighted A average in their courses, will take final exams.
December 17th (No Early Release) – 1st & 2nd Periods
1st Period Exam: 8:00 - 9:25
2nd Period Exam: 9:31 - 10:56
December 18th (No Early Release) – 3rd & 4th Periods
3rd Period Exam: 11:35 - 1:34
4th Period Exam: 1:40 - 3:05
Important Reminders:
Early Exams: There will be no early exams. Please make sure to be present on your scheduled exam days.
Check-Out Policy: Check-outs are not allowed during exam periods. Plan ahead to avoid conflicts.
Absences: If a student misses an exam, a zero will be entered in Infinite Campus until the exam is completed.
Final Exam Exemption: Only seniors with a weighted A average in a course are eligible to be exempt from the final exam for that course.
End of Course Testing: EOC tests will take place during 1st & 2nd periods at JCHS, starting at 8 a.m.

She maximizes positive relationships by being a constant presence for her students, always ready to listen and lend a helping hand. Mrs. Cox leads with value, quietly going above and beyond without seeking recognition. Her selfless dedication shines, especially in her unwavering support for a student who requires extra love and care. Mrs. Cox's compassion and authenticity inspire us all.

Thanksgiving in the Jaxco Café!
A big thank you to Ms. Steinbauer and her incredible team for preparing an amazing Thanksgiving meal on Thursday! Their hard work and delicious food made it a memorable day for everyone.
The Administration joined the celebration by serving lunch to students and staff in the Jaxco Café. We are so grateful for our JCHS family and the sense of community that makes our school so special.
Jaxco Fishing
The Jaxco Fishing Team competed in its 2nd club tournament on the GA High School Fishing Trail at Lake Lanier, Laurel Park, on Sunday, Nov 17th.
Anglers included:
Team Holland/Knapp
Hunter Holland and Mason Knapp. This is Hunter and Mason's 2nd tournament of the year.
Top 20 finish, finishing 17th weighing in 5 fish at 12 lb and 7 ozs.
Team Jones/Nelson
Tully Jones and Drew Nelson. This was Tully and Drew's 1st tournament of the year.
Weighing in 1 fish at 1 lb and 6 ozs
Team Van Alen/Hardenbrook
Vincent Van Alen and Carson Hardenbrook. This was Vincent and Carson's 2nd tournament of the year. No fish to weigh.

Fire Safety Fun at West Jackson FD
Ms. Townley, Ms. Harris, and Ms. Sharpton's students had an exciting field trip to the West Jackson Fire Department! They enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the station, learned valuable fire safety tips, and even explored a fire truck. A big thank you to the firefighters for sharing their time and expertise with our students!

Exciting New Addition to the 2025 Award Winning Yearbook: Submit your Class of 2025 Senior baby picture by Sunday, December 1st to be featured in the 45th edition of the yearbook. No submissions will be accepted via email. All babies pictured should be fully clothed and should be single shot submissions (AKA no groups or siblings).
