Certificate of Enrollment
Attention Students: Planning to Get Your Learner’s Permit or Driver’s License This Summer?
If you’ll be heading to the DDS over summer break, don’t forget to request your Certificate of School Enrollment and choose the “SUMMER” option—this ensures your form is valid all summer long.
Once submitted, your form will be available for pickup the next school day after 1 PM in the JCHS Front Office. These documents cannot be mailed or faxed, so please plan to pick them up in person.
The last day to submit a request before summer break is Monday, May 19th at 3 PM. Requests can still be made during the summer, but you'll need to come to the high school to pick them up. Also, be sure to request your ADAP Certificate—you’ll need both documents for your DDS appointment.

Spring Recital 2025
Join Jaxco Dance on May 7 and 8 at 7 PM in the JCHS auditorium as we celebrate dance around the world! From Memphis to Mozambique to Milan, we will explore dance in other languages, cultures, and communities! We will recognize our seniors and end the evening with a tribute to the Queen of Rock N' Roll- Tina Turner! This promises to be our biggest recital yet! Tickets are on sale at GoFan now or at the door!
Semester 2 Exam Schedule
JCHS End of Course (EOC) Exams, Final Exams, AP Exams, and IB Exams are coming up. Parents/Guardians and students, now is the time to plan ahead. Check the schedules and mark these important dates on your calendar.
Important Reminders:
No Early Exams – Students must take their exams on the scheduled date.
No Check-Outs – Students cannot check out during an exam period. Please plan ahead.
Attendance Matters – If a student misses an exam, a zero will be entered in Infinite Campus until the exam is made up.
Senior Exemptions – Only SENIORS with a weighted A average in a course may be exempt from that final exam.
EOC Testing – EOC exams will take place during 1st & 2nd periods at 8 AM at JCHS.

Exam Descriptions:
End of Course Exams: EOCs are Milestone tests required for students enrolled in the designated courses: American Literature, Algebra I, Biology, and US History. Students not enrolled in these courses will not be required to take an EOC.
Final Exams: All 9th-11th grade students, along with seniors who do not have a weighted A average in their courses, will take final exams.
Advance Placement Exams: AP exams are available for students enrolled in an AP course during the 24-25 school year. To take an AP exam, students must be registered through College Board.
International Baccalaureate Exams: IB exams are required for students enrolled in an IB course.

Modern Language Day
Ms. Wangenheim and Ms. Galvan took 29 Spanish and French students to UNG's annual Modern Language Day to compete in various categories! Students performed songs, entered creative writing pieces and videos, and created beautiful arts and crafts. The following students placed for their hard work:

Kamila Oliveros and Clementina Medina won 2nd Place for their performance of "Mucho más allá"
Ella Weaver won 2nd Place for her multimedia entry
Mariah Parrott won 3rd Place for her scrapbook
Emma Donis Ticas won 3rd Place for her clay masks
Lazaro Vega earned an Honorable Mention for his performance of "Volver, volver"
Madeleine Brown earned an Honorable Mention for her tile mosaic
There were 12 schools and over 200 students there, so we're very proud of our students and their performances! We're already looking forward to next year.
Work-Based Learning Spotlight
Jack Burris, a senior at JCHS, is currently in his second year as a Work-Based Learning (WBL) student at AutoZone in Jefferson. He has completed the CTAE Agricultural Mechanics pathway along with coursework in JROTC, Logistics, and Construction. In addition to his studies and work, Jack has been diligently pursuing his private pilot's license, which he is set to complete this month. After graduation, he plans to attend the University of North Georgia (UNG) for two years before transferring to an engineering university to study Mechanical Engineering. Jack’s ultimate goal is to become a certified Airline Transport Pilot (ATP).

Senior Picnic – May 2 | 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM | Practice Field
Time to celebrate! Join us for the Senior Picnic with games, jumpy houses, lunch, and a chance to hang out with your friends. You'll also get your yearbook on the way there!
✅You must sign up and get a ticket through GoFan (link will be posted on the Senior Website and all socials on Monday).
🚫If you weren’t passing all your classes by the end of the day on Friday, April 25, you won’t be able to attend.
Before heading to the picnic, you’ll stop at the Stadium to take your senior photo, so please follow directions from staff.
This event is for graduating seniors only.

Senior Walk – May 14 | 11:10 AM
Take a final walk through the school with your class! We’ll start in the cafeteria, walk the halls, and finish with a loop around the track. Parents are welcome to come cheer you on from the stadium (visitor side parking). There’ll be photo ops on the football field too!
If you're doing an Elementary Walk, you’ll need to be at your JCSS Westside elementary school (North Jackson Elementary, Gum Springs Elementary, or West Jackson Elementary) by 12:00 PM.
Senior Reception – May 14 | 5:30 PM | Braselton Civic Center
Come celebrate your accomplishments at this FREE semi-formal event just for you! Enjoy dinner, desserts, special recognitions, and receive your senior letters.
Make sure to RSVP by May 5 at 11:59 PM via GoFan (link will be shared online).
If you can’t make it, you can pick up your letters at the front office May 15–16.

Important Senior Information
The countdown is on, and we are so excited to celebrate all the milestones ahead with you! As we prepare for senior events and graduation, we need your help to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Please take time to carefully read all the information on the Jackson County High School Class of 2025 Senior Website. This site contains everything you need to know about senior celebrations, graduation rehearsal, and the ceremony.
It is extremely important that both students and families review this information in full. Staying informed is the key to a stress-free and successful end to senior year.
The website will continue to be updated with any new details, so please check back often.
Senior Letters
Parents, family members, friends, and teachers who wish to send a letter to a senior may do so by mailing it to JCHS no later than Monday, May 5.
Letters may include memories, well-wishes, encouragement, and congratulatory remarks. They will be distributed to seniors during the Senior Reception on May 14.
Important Note: Senior Letters are intended solely as letters, not as graduation gifts. Oversized items will be discarded, and we cannot guarantee the delivery of money, as letters are not stored securely.

Modern Language Pathway Cord
Seniors who have earned an 85 or higher unweighted average in three years of a language are eligible for the Modern Language Pathway cord for graduation.
To claim your cord:
Show your transcript to any Modern Language teacher at JCHS.
Once verified, pay $5 on SchoolPay by May 1st to order your cord.

Dance Team Kiddie Camp
Join the JCHS Rally Cats Dance Team for Kiddie Camp!

Rising K–5th grade students are invited to learn fun hip hop, jazz, and pom routines taught by the Jackson County High School Rally Cats Dance Team! Camp includes snacks, crafts, games, and a T-shirt.
