The show will now take place:
Saturday, 1/25 at 2:30pm & 7:00pm
Sunday, 1/26 at 2:30pm
Monday, 1/27 at 7:00pm
Tuesday, 1/28 at 7:00pm
If you have tickets for Thursday or Friday’s show, don’t worry—your tickets are good for any of the rescheduled performances! Just bring your ticket, and we’ll see you there! ⛄️
2025 Curriculum Fair
Jackson County High School will host its first-ever Curriculum Fair on Wednesday, January 29, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. This event offers an exciting opportunity for attendees to engage with teachers about course offerings, attend informative presentations, and interact with athletic coaches and club sponsors from Empower and JCHS.
Presentation topics include:
College Admissions (5:00 PM)
College Credit Opportunities (5:00 PM)
Paying for College (5:45 PM)
Work-Based Learning (5:45 PM)
Teen Mental Health (6:30 PM)
2025 Graduation (6:30 PM)
Popcorn, candy, and drinks will be provided, and attendees will also have the chance to win prizes valued at over $2,000! Available prizes include:

6 Parking Passes (2025-2026)
6 All-Sports Passes (2025-2026)
4 Yearbooks (2025)
In addition, we have makeup basketball games scheduled for Wednesday night due to recent inclement weather. The girls' game will start at 6:00 PM, followed by the boys' game at 7:30 PM.
To make things even more exciting, pick up a "Passport Ticket" at the door. If you visit five different tables and collect five stickers, you'll be entered into the prize drawing and receive FREE ADMISSION to the basketball game!

Jaxco 2025 Star Student & Teacher
Jackson County High School proudly recognizes our 2025 STAR Student and STAR Teacher! This prestigious honor is awarded to the senior with the highest SAT score in a single sitting and who excels academically in the classroom. Each STAR Student also selects a STAR Teacher who has made a significant impact on their educational journey.
This year's STAR Student is Andrea Segraves, whose exceptional academic achievements and commitment to excellence embody the spirit of Panther Pride. Ms. Devin Donaldson has been selected as the STAR Teacher for their dedication to inspiring and guiding students toward success.

Congratulations to Jaxco junior Joyce Dushime for being named to the National Mental Health Youth Advisory Council for Creative Visions' #CreateConnectCare campaign! This initiative encourages young people to use storytelling and creative expression to promote mental health and well-being among youth. We are so proud of Joyce for making a difference!
2025 Northeast Georgia Technology Competition
We are excited to announce that Lily Hayes and Bartu Tunctan, representing JCHS, along with Walt Norman and Brighton Andrews, representing Empower, earned first place in the 2025 Northeast Georgia Student Technology Competition this past weekend!
We’d also like to congratulate Baileigh Cox and Jake Simmons on their impressive 2nd place finishes in the competition!
Our first-place winners have now advanced to the state competition on March 1st, where Georgia’s most talented student technologists will showcase their innovative projects.
Let’s give a big round of applause to these amazing students for their hard work and achievements!
🎵 JCHS Band Shines at UGA JanFest! 🎵
Members of the JCHS band participated in the 75th Anniversary University of Georgia JanFest Band Festival! JanFest is a prestigious three-day event that brings together talented high school musicians from 130 schools across the Southeast.
Huge kudos to these outstanding students for earning this incredible honor: Isaac Fondren, Logan Stinchcomb, Logan Wagner, McArthur Machabvunga, Mason Waite, Tatiana Duits, Lauren Rice, Charlotte Gibson, Aubree Sanders, and Kendall Goetzman.
Work-Based Learning Highlight
JCHS senior William Tyler Bryant has successfully completed the Agricultural Metal Fabrication and Entrepreneurship CTAE pathways and is now participating in Work-Based Learning (WBL). Recognized for his exceptional performance among peers, Tyler received a strong recommendation from Mr. Greg Gilman (Empower Instructor). He is currently a welding apprentice at Choice Equipment in Jefferson, where he is gaining hands-on experience with steel, aluminum, and various welding technologies. Tyler is particularly enthusiastic about learning a new laser welding technology utilized in Choice Equipment's Food Service Industry.

Six Flags Grad Nite
Six Flags Over Georgia is hosting their annual Grad Nite on May 2, 2025, from 7 PM to 2 AM!
This private event is exclusively for high school seniors and their chaperones.
Space is limited!
To register, complete the required Google Form, which includes your permission slip, student info, emergency contact details, and SchoolPay receipt submission.
Students cannot provide their own transportation, as Six Flags employees will not allow student drivers into the park.
We will meet at the school at 5:00 PM and return around 3:30 AM. Your registration fee includes food, transportation, and admission!

Scholarship Opportunity
The Braselton Rotary Club 2025 Scholarship is now open for applications! If you have a Braselton or Hoschton home address, you may be eligible for this $1,000 per year scholarship to support your educational journey.
Applications must be submitted by April 15th and can be mailed directly to the Braselton Rotary Club or emailed to Michelle Zimmerman at michellejanezimmerman@gmail.com.
