Labor Day - September 2nd
Jackson County High School will be closed on Monday, September 2, in observance of Labor Day. We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 3. Enjoy the holiday!
Mark Your Calendar!
College Fair
11th and 12th graders are invited to attend the 2024 Probe College Fair on October 7th (9-11 am) at East Jackson High School. To attend students must register for the fair using the QR Code or this link, and completing and returning the permission forms by September 27th. Forms are available in the front offices at JCHS or Empower. A dress code for attending this event is mandatory and is business casual. For questions, see Mr. Maxwell.
MAP Family Report
If your student is in 9th-11th grade, they should have received their MAP Assessment Family Report from their most recent MAP Reading assessment to bring home. We encourage you to review this report and visit this link to discover how you can effectively support your student's learning and academic growth.
Homecoming Dance
Get ready for an unforgettable night at the Jackson County High School Homecoming Dance! Join us on Saturday, September 28th, from 7:00-10:00 PM in the JCHS Panther Pavillon for a neon-themed celebration you won’t want to miss.
Don’t forget—Homecoming Guest forms are available now in the front office and at the back table in the café during lunches. Be sure to submit your forms to Mrs. Armendariz by Wednesday, September 25th, at 3:30 PM sharp. Late forms will not be accepted, so get your form in on time!

Attention JCHS Car Riders:
We kindly ask for your help in being considerate neighbors by avoiding the use of nearby neighborhoods as a shortcut to bypass the official car rider line. Morning drop-offs typically take just 1-2 minutes, and our afternoon car rider line is usually cleared out by 3:20 PM.
By utilizing the designated drop-off and pick-up areas, you're helping us maintain safe and smooth traffic flow while also being respectful of the surrounding community. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to making our car rider process efficient for everyone involved!

Statistical Reasoning Students Take Barbie to New Heights!
In an exciting culmination of their bivariate data unit, Mrs. Scott's Statistical Reasoning students took on the challenge of creating least square regression lines to predict the number of rubber bands needed for a safe Barbie bungee jump from the balcony on Jaxco Main Street. This hands-on activity brought statistical concepts to life as students applied their knowledge to ensure Barbie's thrilling, yet safe, descent! Watch the drop video HERE!
Jackson County High School Work-Based Learning
JCHS Senior, Chloe Satterfield participates in Work-Based Learning (WBL) during fourth block all year. She works at Art Design Promotions in Jefferson, where she can embroider, screen print, vinyl, amongst other printing or alterations needs.

Cap and gown packages should be ordered by November 30th for proper sizing.

Cady Studios must take your formal (tux or black drape) photo by November 1st to appear in the yearbook. Schedule your photo session HERE.
Cady Studios will be on campus on October 3rd for senior photo sessions (by appointment only).
