Panther Pride in Action
Jackson County High School student Catherine recently volunteered her time to assist with the Georgia Children’s Chorus music library renovation as part of her National Honor Society service hours. Her dedication, teamwork, and positive spirit exemplify this month’s We Are Connected mindset—reminding us that when we give our time and talents to help others, we strengthen our community.
Work-Based Learning Spotlight
Kaylee Townley, a JCHS senior, is making the most of her Work-Based Learning experience. Kaylee spends two morning blocks each day at Jefferson Animal Hospital, where she gets hands-on experience caring for animals and learning what it takes to work in a busy vet clinic. She’s already completed the Veterinary Science CTAE Pathway and earned her Vet Assistant Certification through Empower (with Dr. Segers) — an amazing accomplishment for a high school student. Kaylee’s also rocking a full schedule of AP and Dual Enrollment classes, all while staying active in sports. Her hard work and dedication keep her ranked near the top of her class.
What a Ride... Our softball team finishes as one of the 𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝟲 teams in Class AAAAA. These girls fought until the last out and will go down as one of the best to ever do it at JCHS! We are all proud of you ladies....and always #ProudtobeJC
